RAISING THE CLEARY'S

Welcome to Building our Family, The Cleary Chronicles. We are Mitch & Bailey, and we would like to introduce you to our son Leo, the smiling, ever changing, little man in the palm shirt. Leo is as smart as a whip, loves to learn, and is always inquiring about how to do things. He loves to help us with projects, loves crafts, and even likes to help us clean - he just loves to be involved. He's also turning in to quite the little athlete already, taking a real interest in basketball, soccer, and hockey - he learned to skate last year at just two and a half! Murphy is our other blonde ball of love. He is a snuggler, loves to play outside, eats us out of house and home, and is also super interested in the world.

We live a simple life, eat well, and try to get enough exercise and fresh air. Oh - and we enjoy building stuff.

 

Mitch (the handsome brunette up there) is a local Realtor in Peterborough and the Kawarthas. He works for Century 21, and he's incredibly passionate about what he does, and about getting his clients the best results. He also really enjoys carpentry, and comes from a home-building background - so he knows a ton about construction, and likes taking on new projects (including my wild ideas). I have no background in construction or building, but I am always eager to learn and look forward to the next project we can do together. Building our home definitely took the cake on the biggest project we will likely ever tackle, but we look forward to every little project along the way.

I enjoy the odd craft, making homemade cards, and have recently dabbled into learning how to use our vinyl printer for some homemade costumes and custom t-shirts for some gal pals - with hopefully more to come, like home decor for our new build. I also enjoy photography and hope to capture some fun memories with all of the excitement we have going on. 

 

Being parents is definitely fun, and the boys make it fairly easy on us - they're the real MVP of our family. However, we have had and will continue to have our fair share of 'baby brain' moments, nights of no sleep, firsts, lasts, and many "he pooped in the tub again" stories.

We are just your typical fun, hard working humans who want to build a family based on old school values and work ethic, while channeling our inner Chip & Joanna Gaines as we built our dream home. We wanted to create a space where family and friends could follow along in our journey, and learn from our success stories and mistakes in building, parenting, and all of the in between.
