Day 67.

Blogging is something that I truly enjoy.

To me it's a timeline of what we've been up to, it's a journal, and its a keepsake of photos and memories and how we felt about what we did that day, whether good or bad.

When I got back into this blog, I was hoping to make it a weekly thing. I was hoping to have all of these great stories to tell, and updates to share. But since being in isolation, this post - which is still only 67 days in - was getting harder and harder to dream up.

I'm sure most of us are in the same boat. Isolation sucks. We truly appreciate our time with our families, loved ones, roommates, friends, or pets - whoever it may be that you're isolating with - but it starts to all seem a little blurry after a while.

Don't get me wrong, we're having a great time together and doing some new things.

Leo has learned to ride his balance bike and is a pro, and SO fast. It makes walks and outings much easier, and the pace a lot quicker!

We got some baby chicks who are settling nicely into their new home.

And it's finally warm enough out to put water in the water table without it turning into ice!

All I'm saying is: cooking a million meals (and snacks - why do kids eat so many snacks?), cleaning up not only after each food making spree but cleaning toys, doing laundry because now everyone's home all day and getting extra dirty outside (and wearing normal clothes instead of a uniform), and having to keep tiny humans engaged and entertained all day - it all gets super repetitive and old real quick. Not to mention toddlers attention spans are very small. They get bored real quick. You could have ten activities laid out for the day (seems great, right! This should last all day!) - ten minutes later, all activities have been completed.

Sorry guys, you're gonna have to repeat those activities again. Treat it like a HIIT circuit. High intensity with each activity, for about 30 seconds to a minute, then go on to the next one. Repeat for the next hour please. Let me know when you're hungry or exhausted and ready for a nap!

Thankfully the weather is nicer, and we can all spend a little more time in the sunshine getting that vitamin D we all need to stay happy and sane in these times. Working on gardens, going for walks, bike rides, puddle jumping, or just sitting with a drink on the porch is all very welcomed on day 67!

Mind you, my Fresca is a little different from what I have been dreaming about - so if you could all have an adult beverage for me that would be great!

That being said, we all really need to take this time to realize what's important in life. To slow down for a minute and show some gratitude and be thankful for what we have. It's different for each of us, and we will all express it in different ways. Whether we take a minute to sit outside in the morning and set some intentions for the day, or just take a breath of fresh air and be thankful for the coffee you're drinking - or we meditate, journal, exercise, learn a new hobby or activity (or teach your spouse or kids something new). We can all be doing things that help make us better human beings. We can all move our bodies. We can all try and be healthy both mentally and physically and come out of this better than when it started.

We can't wait for some restrictions to be lifted so we can enjoy some human connection again, maybe have a bon fire, and see more than faces on FaceTime. Until then, we're in this together, so let's help each other out and make the best of it!

We miss you guys and can't wait to see everyone!
